Financial services

CVI provides financing to financial institutions and fintech companies – lending, leasing and factoring firms, payment platforms, debt management entities and technology providers for the financial sector. We analyse the specific characteristics of models based on financial asset portfolios and the regulatory environment in which these entities operate.

The financial services sector in Central Europe is growing faster than in Western Europe, benefiting from high levels of digital adoption and consumers’ openness to new solutions – the region is among the European leaders in cashless payments and mobile banking. Beyond the banking sector, the segment of specialised institutions is growing rapidly: lending, leasing and factoring companies, payment platforms and debt management firms, which address the financial needs of micro- and small enterprises and consumers who are underserved by banks. The growth of these entities is based on scaling up their financial asset portfolios – and this requires constant access to debt capital tailored to the pace of growth and the risk profile of the portfolio.

CVI financing can be used to expand the scale of operations – including the growth of the loan or leasing portfolio – as well as to make changes to the capital structure of companies in the sector. The typical value of a single transaction ranges from EUR 3 million to 30 million.
