Energy
CVI has many years’ experience in financing energy projects and actively supports the energy transition in Central Europe. CVI provides capital necessary for the development of modern energy infrastructure – from renewable energy sources to energy storage and solutions that enhance the region’s energy security.
The energy sector in Central Europe is undergoing the most profound transformation in its history. The region, which has hitherto relied on fossil fuels, is becoming one of the fastest-growing renewable energy markets in Europe. Installed capacity in solar and wind power is growing rapidly, whilst energy storage systems (BESS) are playing an increasingly important role in supporting the stability of the electricity system. Market growth is driven by rising energy demand, the expansion of data centres, the European Union’s climate targets, and companies’ efforts to reduce energy costs and their carbon footprint. The scale of these investments requires significant capital, and the financial requirements often exceed the capacity of traditional bank financing, particularly in the early stages of project implementation.
CVI offers flexible financing at every stage of a project’s lifecycle – from the development phase (including financing for advance payments towards connection conditions), through construction, to the operational period. We can also help finance the acquisition of new projects. Our financing can be combined with bank financing, which helps to reduce the investor’s required equity contribution and accelerate the implementation of the investment. The typical value of a single transaction ranges from EUR 3 million to 30 million.
