The discussion began with the observation of a dynamic rise in the value of private markets – now reaching around USD 22 trillion. This trend clearly illustrates the ongoing shift of economic financing from public to private markets.

Rafał Lis, Managing Partner at CVI, said:

“The key argument in favor of investing in private markets lies in their competitive risk-adjusted returns. Equally important is the profile of investors. Until now, these markets have been dominated mainly by institutions such as pension funds and insurance companies with long investment horizons. Today, they are also opening up to individual investors – although it’s essential that awareness of the associated risks, particularly limited liquidity, accompanies any decision to diversify portfolios with private market assets.”
