Paweł Jacel at Leveraged Finance and Private Debt Seminar – European and Polish Perspective

Paweł Jacel, Partner at CVI, take part in “Leveraged Finance and Private Debt Seminar – European and Polish Perspective”, organised by AFME and Baker McKenzie. The event take place on 17 September 2025 at the Baker McKenzie office in Warsaw, which bring together representatives of banks, private equity funds, private debt advisors and leading law firms.

Paweł join the panel discussion “Rise of Direct Lending (Private Debt) in Poland”, in which he share his perspective on the rapid development of Poland’s private debt market compared to more mature Western European markets. The conversation address key aspects such as financing structures, pricing dynamics, and investor appetite, as well as areas where banks still retain a competitive edge over private debt whether through cost of capital, regulatory certainty, or the depth of client relationships.

Drawing on CVI’s extensive experience, Paweł also highlight which sectors in Poland are currently most receptive to private debt financing and which remain relatively untapped. Looking ahead, he share his views on how the market might evolve and what could surprise participants when revisiting the market in 2027.
