CVI invests in fintech SMEO
CVI, the leading private debt investor in Central Europe, has acquired bonds issued by the fintech company SMEO with a total value of up to PLN 40 million. The financing, divided into tranches, is long-term in nature. The first issuance, worth PLN 20 million, was carried out in May 2025, with the bonds issued for a term of 3.5 years.
The decision to invest stems from an assessment of SMEO as a company with an experienced team, a clear development strategy, and an offering tailored to the needs of the SME sector—a key segment of the Polish economy. The funds raised will enable the company to further develop its factoring services, strengthen cooperation with cooperative banks, and increase access to financing for micro and small enterprises in local communities.
“We believe SMEO has the potential to become one of the leaders in the modern factoring market for small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland” says Adam Rzepecki, Principal at CVI, responsible for the transaction.
